Environmental Protection

This eLearning course is designed to familiarize learners with the basics of environmental protection legislation as well as the cause and effects of environmental hazards related to the mining and construction industries. As the course progresses, the learners will study the key terms of hazard control and methods to prevent and manage hazardous spills from impacting nature.

Topics include:

  • Legislation associated with environmental protection

  • Terms and definitions associated with environmental protection

  • The characteristics, symptoms, and causes of environmental hazards and harms 

  • Methods to control sediment

  • Types and sources of spills and leaks

  • Etc.

  • Workers who require additional knowledge about environmental legislation and the environmental impact of the construction industry.

Course Length: 

  • The eLearning course takes approximately 2 hours to complete. Please allow up to 48 hours, excluding weekends and holidays, to process your request.
